- In Kindergarten we read some nonfiction groundhog books, watched a brief video showing that Punxatawny Phil saw his shadow and completed our prediction page from last week.
- In First Grade we read some nonfiction Groundhog books and completed a Groundhog Can Have Are activity.
- In Second Grade we read the second Big Wolf and Little Wolf book and then completed a Big Wolf and Little Wolf ABC order activity.
- This week in Third Grade we designed our very own nonfiction book cover, gave it a title and illustrated it too.
- In Fourth Grade we worked on the Languages section in the Dewey Decimal system. We talked about the languages we would find there including extinct ones we then completed an activity using hieroglyphics.
- In Fifth Grade we got close to the end of our atlas unit and completed an activity about 'Directions'.

Monday was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day so I missed seeing Mrs. Burge's, Mr. Mason's and Mrs. Hanson's classes.

It's the week before Winter Break. We continued our look at different holidays in the lower grades by reading Christmas books and we got to play Kahoot (a definite favorite!) with the upper grades.
This week we continued looking at Christmas traditions and learned about Kwanzaa in the lower grades.
Happy Thanksgiving! We were only in school this week for Monday and Tuesday, so I only got to see 6 of my 17 classes and I didn't get to see any fifth graders at all. I still did some fun things with the other classes through. Read on to see what we got up to.........
In addition to all that learning, your students also enjoyed some STEMy table activities and had plenty of book checkout time. |
