- In Kindergarten this week we read the wonderful rhyming book The Gruffalo and then recalled important text details by coloring a picture of a Gruffalo exactly as it was described in the story.
- First Graders heard some stories about clouds this week. We read Cloudette and Sky Dragon and then continued with our Manners mini-book.
- We continued reading the Library Mouse series in Second Grade. This week we read book 3, Library Mouse - Home Sweet Home, our table work consisted of drawing our dream house (your students are very creative and it was lots of fun to see the fun things they think are important in a dream house!)
- This week we tried some new resources that were generously donated to the Shepardson. Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade got to enjoy some Build to Express Legos. They used the sets to share their thoughts and feelings with their tablemates and we all had a great time building and sharing our builds.
Wednesday was Garden Day at Shepardson, during my planning time I got to enjoy the garden with a few classes. Thanks to the Garden Moms, Miss Allison and Miss Heidi for all they do to make our garden great!
Wow, week 4 already and our media center is busy, busy, busy!
I introduced some STEM'y activities that the students can use when they have completed their work and checked out their books. Here's some of the things we got up to, and in to, this week.
Monday was Labor Day so I missed seeing Mrs. Burge's, Mrs. Hanson's and Mr. Mason's classes this week. But things kept ticking along in the media center and these were some of the things the other classes got up to.
Welcome to my blog!
