Monday was Labor Day so I missed seeing Mrs. Burge's, Mrs. Hanson's and Mr. Mason's classes this week. But things kept ticking along in the media center and these were some of the things the other classes got up to.
- The kindergarten classes listened to me read aloud Homer the Library Cat and Wild About Books (a wonderful rhyming book by Judy Sierra). We spent the rest of our time reviewing check out procedures, checking out books and just enjoying our time in the library.
- First Grade heard the stories Library Lion and Wild About Books (a wonderful rhyming book by Judy Sierra). We started making our 'How I use Good Manners with my Library Books' mini-booklet and of course we had check out time too!
- Second Grade heard the stories Can I Bring Woolly to the Library, Ms. Reeder? and Wild About Books (a wonderful rhyming book by Judy Sierra). We colored a picture reviewing library behavior and of course we had check out time too!
- Third Grade got to learn about my Adopt A Shelf Program and we reviewed our learning of Easy Call numbers.
- Fourth Grade heard about my Adopt A Shelf Program and we began reviewing Fiction Call Numbers and completed a review activity.
- Fifth Grade heard about my Adopt A Shelf Program and we built on their knowledge of Nonfiction Call Numbers by completing a Dewey Decimal activity.
